It’s fascinating to reflect on more than three centuries of American history in and around Falmouth and Aquia Harbor. Native American chiefs, Revolutionary War heroes and other prominent individuals are laid to rest at the Congressional Cemetery, which dates back to 1807. The Ebenezer Methodist Church is significant for being the first public school for African Americans in the United States.
